	A Better Chance www.abetterchance.org A Better Chance is a national non-profit talent search organization. Through the College Preparatory Schools Program, A Better Chance recruits talented students of color and places them in outstanding independent and public schools. A Better Chance does not give scholarships; they match students with schools.
	ACLU www.aclu.org The ACLU works to extend rights to segments of the population that have traditionally had their rights denied. These include, but are not limited to: minorities, lesbians, gay men, women, mental-health patients, prisoners, people with disabilities, and the poor.
	Alex's Lemonade Stand www.alexslemonade.org Alex's Lemonade Stand is a unique foundation that started out as a young cancer patient's front yard lemonade stand. It has grown into a nationwide fundraising movement that helps in the fight to find a cure for childhood cancer. Since Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996-2004) set up her front yard stand at the age of four, more than $10 million has been raised to help fulfill her dream of finding a treatment for all children with cancer.
	Dave Thomas Foundation www.davethomasfoundationforadoption.org The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a non-profit public charity dedicated to dramatically increasing the chance of adoption for the more than 140,000 children in North America's foster care system. Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, created the Foundation in 1992 with the intention of making sure that every child in America will have a permanent home and a loving family.
	Habitat for Humanity www.habitat.org Habitat for Humanity is an international non-profit organization devoted to building “simple, decent, and affordable” housing. The homes are built by volunteers and are sold at absolutely no profit. In 2005 Habitat for Humanity built its 200,000 home, bringing the number of people sheltered by Habitat to over 1 million.
	Hospice Foundation www.hospicefoundation.org Hospice Foundation of America leads in the development and application of hospice, and its philosophy of care with the goal of enhancing the American health care system and the role of hospice within it.
	Lutheran Social Services www.lutheranservices.org Lutheran Social Services consists of more than 300 health and human service organizations that provide care to thousands of communities in the United States and the Caribbean. Last year, these organizations served more than 6 million clients.
	One www.one.org ONE is a new effort by Americans to rally Americans — ONE by ONE — to fight global AIDS and extreme poverty. ONE is students and ministers, punk rockers and NASCAR moms. It is Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life, united as ONE to help make poverty history.
	Yele Haiti www.yele.org Yéle Haiti is a foundation that was started by Grammy-Award winning musician, producer, and social entrepreneur Wyclef Jean. The organization helps to change thousands of lives in the desperately poor, but optimistic nation of Haiti. Through Yéle Haiti, Wyclef uses music, sports, and the media to reinforce projects that are making a difference in education, health, environment, and community development.
	VH1 Save The Music http://www.vh1.com/partners/save_the_music/ The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education. Now a decade strong, it is their renewed commitment to donate one hundred million dollars worth of new musical instruments to ensure that even a greater number of students receive a comprehensive music education over the next 10 years.
