VMM Process

Your distributed organization can be much more effective.

rVibe can show you how.

VMM:  Virtual Maturity Model

The Virtual Maturity Model is a set of processes, techniques, tools, measurements and definitions that individuals, departments and companies use to increase the success, productivity and cost savings of geographically distributed workers and organizations. Using VMM should increase your chance of success in the workplace and market you serve by adding competitive advantage and maximization of an information based workforce.

Organizations have found up to 70% cost savings on travel by leveraging VMM, while increasing productivity (through measurements of reduction in out of office days and sales-force effectiveness) by 100%.

VMM is structured into several Processes, Techniques and Methods, Measurement and Analysis, Organizational Development, Tools and Vocabulary.

Common organizational behaviors:

As organizations mature in VMM, they exhibit consistent behaviors that VMM tracks by level.  These behaviors are easy ways to identify an organization’s level and begin charting a path to greater maturity.   The graphic below identifies many of these behaviors for training departments for courses (not for program development maturity):

How to get started with VMM:

Organizations seeking to make the most of VMM, first need to understand where they fall on the VMM scale. This five level scale is based on capabilities around non-co-located communication, collaboration, decision making, performance management as it relates to tool and process usage.

After evaluating the organization, process teams either alone or with consultation, create an implementation strategy and rollout plan for VMM improvement with monitoring and controls.
